An introduction to the Abyss

Welcome to the Abyss, your new PvP haven from level 25 upwards. Well, there is more than PvP to enjoy in the Abyss but it’s certainly one of best reasons to visit the area. I thought I’d post a brief introduction on a few of the factors that make the Abyss so exciting.
The Abyss is the core of Atreia which joins both Elysea and Asmodae together. Flying in Aion is restricted to certain areas; I am guessing this is to make sure that players are still exploring the world of Atreia. The starting area Poeta and Sanctum restrict free flight but allow gliding. Verteron will be the first area you visit that allows free flight around the main town. (continue reading…)
